2015 summer blog reads – old school bookworm turned digital
I am a confessed bookworm, old school. Yes, I mean those heavy things with paper pages, the more the better.
As soon I as was able to read texts kind of fluently at a young age, nothing was safe from my eyes.
I read child books, my elder brother’s comics secretly (ooops, it’s out now), my mother daily newspaper, my dad’s hunting equipment catalogue, many x-rated books from my parents vast library… of which most I did not even understand at the time.
I also love those public book-exchange libraries, that many cafes and hotels – and even my hometown St. Johann – offer. The randomness of such a collection is great! This way, I have picked up many great reads that I would usually not have touched…
Today of course I do appreciate other means of reading, such as on kindle, tablet or on my mobile phone.
Nothing beats electronic versions when travelling! Take all your books, magazines, journals etc. with you in one small device, and never run out of reading material!
And I am much in love with newer genres as well, such as other blogs.
Many blog articles read like short stories, great for providing yourself a variety of topics and ideal for reading in between.
Here are my 5 favourite blogs (both German and English) that make my 2015 summer reads:
